The Crown Hotel in Alton is easily accessible, no matter which direction you are arriving from. Alton is just one hour by train from waterloo, with The Crown a mere five minute walk towrads Alton town centre from the station. The M3 is the nearest motorway to the town, with junction 6 just a 15 minute drive away at Basingstoke. The A31 which runs from Guilford to Winchester, bypass Alton and provides convenient links to the heart of Hampshire to the south an to the A3 and London to the north.Once you have reached Alton itself, in order to find The Crown Hotel it is possible to follow signposts for the Curtis Museum, one of the towns' tourist attractions, which is located directly opposite the hotel at the top of the crown hill on the High Street
